Church leaders urge solidarity with farmers thumbnail

A group of 120 peasants and their parish priest walked 350 kilometers for 18 days to press demands that the government review a ‘development project’ in Aurora province. Some Church leaders, including Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle of Manila, called for solidarity with the protesters.
